Euthanasia is the act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, possibly by lethal injection, administration of drugs or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment. Euthanasia, sometimes called assisted suicide or mercy killing, is not legal everywhere and has created controversy in many cases.
