The Library has several copies of the APA handbook to help you cite your sources. Check it out!
The References section of an APA essay or research paper lists all the works that you mentioned in your text. Online sources are cited slightly differently from paper sources. If you use an online book or article, be sure to use the correct citation format.
For quick reference to cite print and electronic sources: APA Formatting and Style Guide by Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL).
If you need help learning how (and why) to cite: APA Overview and Workshop by Purdue University's Online Writing Lab (OWL).
Many of the online databases that the Library subscribes to can show you automated citations for the article you found.
This is a great shortcut, but be aware that the citation may not be quite right. For example, ProQuest does not invert the author's name. Be sure to check the citation and verify that all the details are correct.
