In an essay, consider a significant occurrence in your personal life and development. Focus your essay on contrasting two aspects (A & B) of your life before and after this event. For example, if you live on your own, you might contrast what life was like regarding money (Aspect A) and friendships (Aspect B) before and after living on your own; if you quit smoking, you might contrast the differences of your finances (Aspect A) and health (Aspect B) from before and after.
Somewhere in the body of your essay you should have at least two direct quotes from one or two sources you found on Rio Hondo’s databases. For example, if you were exploring the difference of life after having lost a parent, you might bring in interesting quotes from an article discussing how losing a parent can impact a person.
