How to Participate

How to participate

All students, faculty, staff, and administrators are welcome to participate. Here’s how:

  1. Choose a book that is a favorite or is important to you. This does not have to be a book you are currently reading. It only has to be a book you have once read. Often, people select a book from their childhood.
  2. We need a picture of you holding the book. Your face and book cover need to be visible. (You can take the photo or we can arrange to take your photo.)
  3. Email the picture to Librarian Claudia Rivas at crivas@riohondo.edu or email her to arrange to have your picture taken with the book.
  4. In your email, include 1 or 2 sentences (max) explaining why this is your favorite book, or why it is an important book to read.
  5. Claudia will format the image and text for social media purposes. She will send the final photo to you for approval.
  6. All finalized images will be posted on the Library’s social media channels and on the Library website.
