The following workshop will be open from August 19 to December 1 for the 2024 Fall Semester.

- It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you complete this workshop on a desktop computer or laptop.
- The tutorial is made up of 20 slides and should take about 1 hour or less to complete.
- There will be a quiz in the middle and at the end of the workshop.
- You will receive your results and a Certificate of Completion at the end of the tutorial.
- To receive a Digital Badge, see instructions below.
- For both a Certificate of Completion and Digital Badge, you must score a 70% or higher in the tutorial.
- You can complete the tutorial more than once.
WHAT IS COVERED IN THIS WORKSHOP?
In this asynchronous online workshop, participants will learn what plagiarism is (and is not) by recognizing examples and citing sources in MLA format. Participants will also learn about in-text citations, how to create a Works Cited page, and identifying components of a citation. If you are interested in learning about other citation styles such as APA, ASA, Chicago, or other, please contact a librarian for additional resources.
HOW TO RECEIVE A DIGITAL BADGE FOR THE WORKSHOP
- The link above is a tutorial which you complete at your own pace.
- You must pass the tutorial with a 70% or higher.
- Results will be automatically sent to Librarian Irene Truong.
- Complete the Workshop Survey.
