Most colleges and universities use the Library of Congress Classification System to organize library materials. You can browse books in the following call number ranges that relate to Women's History/Feminism: HQ 1101-2030.7.
When a call number is not present for a book listed below, this means that the book is available in eBook format. When you click on the title of the eBook, you will be redirected to the database where the eBook is stored (e.g. EbscoHost eBook Collection, eBook Central).
Feminists and scholars across the globe use different terminology to describe different eras or "waves" of the feminist movement.
The National Women's History Museum provides access to free online exhibits that can help illustrate the goals of each wave:
All four online exhibitions are available in English and Spanish.
Your RHC Librarians attempted to organize the books below according to the timelines and themes four waves of feminism. But, in some cases there is overlap and in others, more anthological titles span from the first to the fourth wave. Some scholars find it challenging to clearly define the parameters of each wave and have asked, "...And what comes next?"
