Technology FAQs: Cameras, Camera Flash, and Tripods

Who can borrow a camera and camera flash?

A limited number of DSLR cameras are made available for checkout by Río Hondo students enrolled in specific Photography courses. See below.

For students eligible to checkout a DSLR, please go to the Library Circulation Desk as soon as possible at the start of the semester, while supplies last. 

  • Digital cameras are loaned out only to students enrolled in the following classes: PHTO 110, PHTO 111, or PHTO 140.

  • 35 mm cameras are loaned out only to students enrolled in the following classes: PHTO 130 or PHTO 131.

Camera flashes are loaned out only to students enrolled in PHTO 110, PHTO 111, PHTO 130, PHTO 131 or PHTO 140.

Who can borrow a Tripod?

Tripods are loaned out only to students enrolled in PHTO 110, PHTO 111, PHTO 130, PHTO 131 or PHTO 140.

Borrow a Camera and Tripod

To borrow a camera or tripod, currently enrolled Río Hondo students (in the classes listed above) should fill out and submit a Technology Reservation Form.

When the item is available, the Library Circulation Desk will contact via email to schedule pick-up.
